BREAKAWAY FROM CANCER

The Amgen Tour of California May 2010 will benefit the Breakaway from Cancer initiative on behalf of the National Wellness Center.  The Wellness Center provides direct support to all cancer survivors through free resoures, educational seminars, fitness classes, and direct social work support services.  Paula Davis, local cancer survivor has been asked by the National Wellness center to represent Indiana at The Tour of California May 2010.  Ms.Davis, an cancer survivor said, " It is an honor to represent the great people of the State of Indiana." 

Ms.Davis with the support of the community raised $1,000,000.00 to support the Wellness Center. Monies from this event directly funded our Indiana wellness center and benefitted survivors both here locally and throughout Indiana.  Ms.Davis stated" it takes a whole community to beat cancer."

Today, most people know someone or has been directly impacted by cancer, sarcoma, and lymphomas.  How Can you help leave cancer in the dust?  A donation of any size will help us reach the goal of $10,000.00 and donations can be made online or sent to 1201 Main Street, Lafayette, IN 47901.   Together, we can beat cancer.
